Progress 122 Days In The Making

If you’ve read any of the past posts, I think I shared that Toi and I were on vacation in April – and had the chance to attend a social event called Bite Club. On that night a friend, Sarah, snapped a photo of us. That photo has now become lovingly called the photo that saves our life. Shortly after the photo was taken, we started making new changes in the way we were eating (and drinking). We had already begun cutting back on things like soda and beer, but we wanted to take that to a new level. After seeing the photo in the paper – Toi and I were both in utter shock. I had no idea that was what we looked like – the image in the photo was not how either of us saw ourselves. The photo wasn’t bad – it was just accurate – and showed us something the mirror never had. We were puffy, bloated and bluntly, FAT.

This photo has now found its way into our archives and while I won”t say it’s a “before” photo – because to have a before you have to have an after – and that after is a work in progress, so lets just call it a “starting” photo.

Since this photo was snapped – together we have released 69 pounds.
